Visiting the Sick

Recognizing the importance of providing comfort, solace, and spiritual support during times of illness, our parish priest is committed to bringing healing to those in need

When illness strikes, it can often leave individuals feeling isolated and vulnerable. Our priest Father Rick Fernandez understands the significance of human connection and the power of spiritual guidance in such challenging moments. Through his pastoral visits, he offers a comforting presence, a listening ear, and words of hope to those who are unwell.

With great compassion, he provides spiritual solace, administers the sacraments, and offers prayers for healing and strength. He recognizes that the power of faith and prayer can bring comfort to those facing physical and emotional trials. Through these visits, he brings the love and support of the entire parish community to those who are unable to attend regular services.

St Teresa of Lisieux Roman Catholic Church

Our parish’s commitment to visiting the sick is rooted in the Gospel message of compassion and service. Our priest takes the time to listen attentively, offer words of encouragement, and provide pastoral care tailored to the unique needs of each individual. He endeavors to create a sacred space where patients can share their concerns, find solace in prayer, and experience the love and grace of God.

We invite you to reach out to our parish priest if you or your loved ones are in need of spiritual support during times of illness. His heartfelt visits bring the healing presence of Christ to your doorstep, reminding you that you are not alone on your journey.

Together, let us embrace the power of community, faith, and love as we accompany one another through the challenges of illness. May the healing ministry of our parish priest bring you comfort, strength, and the assurance that you are held in the prayers and care of our parish family.

Working with our community for our community

Social Groups

Within our community and Parish we have a number of clubs and groups running to help parishioners connect and engage with other members. These initiatives cater to a wide spectrum of interests.

Within our Parish

We are committed to providing support and growth for parish and community members through collaborative efforts with both local and national organisations.

Outside Agencies

Through social action initiatives, churches have the potential to make a significant impact on some of the most pressing issues facing our society today. Poverty, homelessness, hunger, and discrimination are complex issues that require collaborative efforts and long-term solutions.

Schools

With a strong commitment to Catholic values and teachings, parish schools offer a safe and nurturing environment where students can develop a strong sense of faith, morality, and character. Our local Primary school is St Teresa's and our local college is St Benedict's.
